Whilst you can sell information products in thousands of niches, the best way to make a lot of money quickly is to pick a subject that is currently ‘on trend’. These hot, on trend subjects will attract attention far and wide, getting you exposure via social media as well as the search engines.

 

How do you find an ‘on trend’ topic? Try these ideas:

  • Visit niche forums to see which conversations are getting the most views and passionate replies.
  • Subscribe to a range of niche blogs and take note of the topics that are getting plenty of comments and debate.
  • Follow new and popular products at the Clickbank marketplace to see what types of products are flying off the virtual shelves.
  • Check out the list of bestsellers in your niche at Amazon.com.

2. The Power of using “How To” In Your Title

Once you have selected the topic of your report, you need to go about shaping it so that it is snapped up by the market. You should start with using two magic words that will draw people to your report; those two words are “how to”.

Take a look at  the difference between these titles:

  • Housetrain Your Puppy in Five Days vs. How to Housetrain Your Puppy in Five Days
  • Make Money Online vs. How to Make Money Online
  • Get Rich vs. How to Get Rich

3. Offer Plenty of Examples and Tips

Example: You create a report called, “How to Get 30,000 Visitors to Your Blog.” You can then create Part 2: “How to Get Make $30,000 From Your 30,000 Visitors.”

Part 1 offered your customers a desirable result (getting 30,000 visitors). But Part 2 offers an even more desirable result, because now your readers will find out how to turn those customers into cash!

5. Create a Tiered Pricing Structure

One way to increase the rate of your sales is by creating a sense of urgency. You can do this by offering a tiered pricing structure.

Here’s an example:

  • The first 100 customers get the report for just $10.
  • The next 100 customers get the report for $15.
  • Everyone after the 200th customer pays $20.

For this tactic to work well, be sure to use a script that continuously updates the number of copies left. That way people really feel the fear of loss as they see the low-priced copies being snapped up.
